Earn Guilford Gold in exchange for Uniform Donations

If you are able to donate any uniform (or winter coats), they can be dropped off at our Reception or Community Hub during school opening hours.

In exchange for your donation, you will receive a voucher for 25 Guilford Gold for your child.

If you are looking for second-hand uniform, you can also try charity shops in the local area and the Nottingham School Uniform Exchange Group on Facebook where you will find uniform items advertised for all schools across Nottingham.

You could also have a look for local selling groups on Facebook or advertise on the Basford Community or Bulwell Community Facebook groups.

Alternative Suppliers

Currently, the blazers, ties and PE kit are not available from other suppliers. We consider that Just Schoolwear represents good value for money at this time. This is reviewed regularly, and we seek to ensure that parents and carers are consulted on this.

Supermarket/General Stores

We encourage parents to source shirts/trousers/skirts/shoes/socks/joggers from supermarkets and value for money stores. Please check the uniform expectations guidance listed below for what is and is not expected regarding style.

Not all styles are considered suitable for school. If your child’s uniform does not fit into these expectations, they will be asked to borrow uniform from our supplies or go home and change into something that does meet requirements.

Further Support

Please rest assured that we will not allow financial restrictions to negatively impact any child's access to the correct uniform. In order for us to explore further support, please contact: enquiries@ellisguilfordschool.org.uk

We also want to make you aware of three charities that can support with uniform and shoes for both secondary and primary school children.

The Nottingham Uniform Project collects uniform donations from schools and makes them available to parents to upcycle and save money at the same time. The project is supported by the Sharewear Clothing Scheme who accept all clothing and shoe donations. Sharewear offers free-of-charge clothing choices to people in economic difficulty. Likewise, Shoe Aid helps families who are struggling to provide their children with shoes that are fit for purpose.

If you require a referral to the Uniform Project, Sharewear or Shoe Aid, please email enquiries@ellisguilfordschool.org.uk
