MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Events & Competitions in March

Children are invited to earn points for their House as follows:
- Take part in our World Book Day competitions
- Memorise as many digits of Pi as they can for National Pi Day
- Wear something red and donate £1 in aid of Comic Relief (full uniform must be worn).
If you are able, please can you donate shop-bought cakes for our Red Nose Day Bake Sale on 21 March.

Grease ‘School Edition’

SAFEGUARDING
Vaping
Are you concerned about your child vaping? This week we will be exploring the facts and health risks associated with vaping, and warning our children of the known dangers, and unknown future dangers.
Remember, it is illegal for vapes to be sold to anyone under the age of 18 and anyone under 18 should not be vaping. Being in possession of a vape in school is considered a serious breach of school rules and children risk suspension if they bring a vape to school or vape on the school site.

CURRICULUM & ASSESSMENT
Year 11 Pre-Public Exams, Spring 2025
The final set of Pre-Public Examinations (PPEs) will take place from Monday 3 March to Friday 17 March with French and Spanish speaking assessments taking place during week commencing 24 February. Please read the letter from the Principal here about the importance of attendance.

CURRENT REWARDS

Students can spend their Guilford Gold in our Swap Shop or save for bigger rewards including a Rewards Trip to Jurassic Cove on 3 & 4 April, costing 2000GG. Year 11 have their own rewards including the chance to win an iPad and to attend the Year 11 Prom.

Pre-Owned Uniform Shop
A reminder that we have our pre-owned uniform shop available to purchase current uniform for Years 8 to 11 at low cost.
Please do pop in to our pre-loved uniform shop during its opening times , or ask at Main Reception if these times are not suitable.
25 Guilford Gold will be rewarded for any donations being dropped off at Reception.
