A HUGE well done to all children and staff for their efforts last Friday in supporting Children in Need.
Our bake sale raised £343!!! Incredible!
Well done to all who supported by donating cakes and purchasing them!
Last week, we also raised awareness for Anti-Bullying Week by wearing odd socks to celebrate our differences on Odd Socks Day.
Elion House wore the most odd socks, helping them to move up the House leaderboard.
Year 11 children are doing extremely well in their current PPEs. Keep it up!
There are only a few exams remaining! You can find the exam timetable and revision resources here.
Equipment Reminder
All children must bring a school bag to school every day. This must contain their EGS planner and knowledge organizer. These items have been purchased by the school and were issued to every child in September.
If children have lost any of these items, these can be purchased on the Arbor Parent App and collected from the school office.
School Uniform
As you will be aware, our new school uniform for Years 8-11 can be purchased from Just Schoolwear from February Half Term. This new uniform is compulsory for all EGS children to wear from next September.
Further communications will follow on this.
This week we are supporting the national anti-knife project Operation Sceptre and getting behind the #NottsAgainstKnives message.
Staff will be trained in anti-knife safeguarding training focussing on how to speak to young people about the risks of carrying knives. Pupils will receive Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Partnership anti-knife training.
School Early Intervention Officer PC Charlotte Doherty will be running a knife crime awareness workshop for a target group of pupils who have been directly impacted by knife crime.

Lime E-bikes and the Law
Lime and Nottingham City Council have contacted the school to warn that some Ellis Guilford pupils have been identified as engaging in fraudulent and criminal behaviour with regards to Lime e-bikes in the local area.
This includes:
Tampering with any Lime e-bike is a criminal offence. Lime is actively working with the Police to bring criminal charges against any guilty individuals or groups.
The minimum age to rent a Lime e-bike is 18. That means that no Ellis Guilford School pupil should be using Lime e-bikes for any reason.
We will cooperate fully with the Police should we witness any criminal activity – including seeing any Ellis Guilford pupil riding a Lime e-bike.
A reminder that electric scooters are not permitted on school site. It is against the law to ride an electric scooter on public roads, pavements or cycle paths. Our children are not permitted to bring an electric scooter on site for any reason. Any electric scooters that are brought onto school site will be retained until parents/carers are able to collect.
If you have any Safeguarding concerns, please email: john.williams@ellisguilfordschool.org.uk
On a weekly basis, staff are asked to nominate students who have displayed EGSellence to receive a Principal’s Award badge, to be worn on their blazer, and to have pizza with the Principal.
Watch the video to find out who were the winners from last week.
Well done everyone.
