The curriculum at Ellis Guilford School is broad, powerful and engaging. With a firm basis in the mastery of knowledge we aim to develop ambitious learners who strive for excellence across Key Stage 3 and 4.
Pupils make their curriculum choices in Year 9 and then go on to specialise in the subjects that they are passionate about, complimented by a strong basis in the Core subjects of English, Maths and Science. We are very proud of the broad and balanced selection of academic and vocational subjects we offer at Key Stage 4, enabling our pupils to pursue their skills and interests with challenging and valuable Level 2 courses.
In Year 7 Pupils study English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, PE/Dance, a Modern Foreign Language, Art, Design Technology, Food, Computing, Music, Drama and Religious, Social and Moral Education.
In Year 8 Pupils study English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, PE/Dance, a Modern Foreign Language, Art, Design Technology, Food, Computing, Music, Drama and Religious, Social and Moral Education.
In Year 9 Pupils study English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, PE/Dance, a Modern Foreign Language, Art, Computing, Music, Drama and Religious, Social and Moral Education. Pupils have the opportunity to choose between Food and Design Technology.
In Year 10 and 11 Pupils study English, Maths, Science, Core PE and Religious, Social and Moral Education alongside their GCSE choices.

Some pupils who wish to go on to do sciences at A level will complete the Triple Science qualifications in their Science lessons.
